Update your bedroom for spring with Crown
New season, new look!
Do you love bold colours, but you’re unsure of how to implement them in your bedroom? This look from our trend for SS18, Bloom, uses bright, bold colours on a statement wall contrasted with a subtle pastel shade for a beautiful, floral effect that takes centre stage in any room. To create the look yourself, use the colours Feeling Fresh, Fuschia Fizz, Lavendar Cupcake, Pier View and Scrumptious in freehand movements.
To further utilise bold colours, Judy Smith, Crown’s Colour Consultant recommends a dramatic feature wall to create an instant update to your bedroom. Using an overlapping stencil in Palm Springs and Clay White creates an unusual feature that adds interest to the room. Dramatic accessories also play a key role in adding and we have used Tibetan Gold to create a statement mirror. By adding accessories in key, accent colours draws attention and creates a focal point to the room.
If understated glamour caters more towards your style, grey is a beautiful, fashionable look that can help to bring a calming environment to your bedroom. To make a grey room look completely on-trend, use a few different shades of grey and complementing colours such as laid-back lilac to create a restful bedroom. Another tip to make your bedroom look magazine-ready, is to add grey accessories to the room, such as bedding and throws along with complementing tones such as gold. Colours used: Smoked Oyster, Sunday School and Duchess.
